1 How do I book a seat and how do I buy a ticket?

To travel with our company you can buy your tickets from:

  • The port agencies and travel agencies that cooperate with Saos Ferries throughout Greece.
  • From our website: www.saos.gr.
2 Where will I receive my ticket if I have purchased it from the website www.saos.gr?

If you have purchased your ticket from our website, you will receive it from the local central agencies as long as you have your ID and the booking number sent to you by e-mail.

3 Plans have changed, what about tickets?

Ticket modifications for another voyage date and provided that free seats are available only by the issuing agencies, with the necessary presentation of the original ticket bodies, up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure of the ship. If the value of the new tickets is lower, you are not entitled to a refund of the difference.

  • Ticket cancellations are made only by the issuing agencies and if the ticket bodies have been presented as they are. Tickets can not be canceled by phone.
  • 100% refund of the ticket up to 14 days before the scheduled departure of the ship.
  • 75% refund of the ticket up to 7 days before the scheduled departure of the ship.
  • 50% refund of the ticket up to 12 hours before the scheduled departure of the ship.
  • In the event that a passenger or vehicle ticket has already been modified within 14 days prior to the original travel date, the above refunds will not apply and the refund will not be refunded.

After the departure of the ship the tickets are not canceled, while there is no possibility to change the date of the trip.

4 I lost the ticket! And now?

In case you lose your ticket, you will have to buy a new one to travel. You must then notify us of the loss in writing, stating the date of travel, the route and the number of the lost ticket, as well as the number of the new ticket you purchased and send us a photocopy of it.

If the lost ticket is not found in our company records to have traveled or been replaced within one (1) month from the date of travel, our company will issue a free ticket of equal value to the lost one.

5 My ticket is discounted. What should I have with me?

Our company provides discounts on special categories of passengers. If you belong to one of these categories and have purchased a discounted ticket, it is important to remember that you will need to bring all the necessary documents with you in order to show them at the ticket control during boarding and during the trip.

6 Can I take my four-legged friend with me?

Under current law, pets are prohibited from staying indoors on all ships, but your pet can still travel:

  • Only on deck and of course under your personal supervision.
  • In the special area indicated by the crew.

You should also have the animal health booklet with you, while dogs should wear a muzzle.

7 How do I get on board?

Just present your ticket and ID to the person in charge of the ship when you board it.

8 When do I board?

Boarding starts 1 hour before the scheduled departure time. You must be on board at least one hour before the scheduled departure time.

9 Is smoking allowed on board?

Only in suitable areas of the outer deck.
